One Utah Center
Submitted by David on Tue, 2006-03-21 04:43.
POV-Ray is a wonderful tool for "creating" buildings and other architecture. This is a rendition of the One Utah Center tower in Salt Lake City, Utah -- a building that is "linear" enough to be fairly straightforward to render, but not so linear as to be boxy and uninteresting. I had to take about 25 photos from a range of vantage points, just to get the right colors and dimensions of all parts of the building. Compare this render with a photographtaken from the corresponding vantage point. |
