Coma Berenices
Submitted by David on Sun, 2006-04-02 17:33.
The Coma Berenices star cluster, like the Hyades, is a group of stars physically close together in space. Sparser and looser than most clusters, the Coma Berenices group may be slowly dispersing. Traveling 130 light years takes us halfway to the cluster, which is in the left-center part of the image; the cluster itself begins to show depth as we approach. |
