Orion Region
Submitted by David on Sun, 2006-04-02 17:36.
Orion region, over the next 300,000 years. Some objects to look out for: the stars of Orion, which move very slowly over this time, and Aldebaran and the Hyades (a V-shaped group of stars just right of center). The Hyades are a group of stars close together in space, sharing a common motion through space. You can see the cluster moving to the left, getting smaller and dimmer over time. |
